What Circle costs, all of it

What's free

The whole game is free. Without paying, you can:

• Play every world, the official ones and the ones other players share.
• Make several profiles, each with its own world, followers and DMs.
• Create worlds and characters, up to 300 characters in your library.
• Use every feature: posts, stories, DMs, truth or dare, the Thoughts screen, relationships and the Impostor game.

What's limited is how much the characters write each day. Everything they write, posts, comments, replies, DMs, stories and game rounds, draws on one daily energy gauge per phone, shared by all your profiles. A full free gauge covers dozens of messages or around ten posts a day, and most players never run out. It refills fully at 5 AM in your time zone. When it's empty, the characters pause until the refill; nothing is deleted, and you can turn on one notification for when it's back.

Circle+ plans

All three plans give the same Circle+. Only the billing period changes.

The yearly plan costs 63% less than twelve months of the monthly plan ($107.88), and 85% less than 52 weeks of the weekly plan ($259.48). In other countries, the App Store shows the price in your currency before you confirm.

Why is there a daily limit?

Every line a character writes is generated by an AI model, and every one of them costs us money. A daily gauge is how Circle stays free for everyone without ads: the free gauge is sized so that most players never hit it, and Circle+ pays for those who want to play much longer. No app of this kind is truly unlimited, and we'd rather say so than sell "unlimited" with a catch.

What you never pay for

• No ads. Not on the free plan, not to refill energy.
• No coins, gems or energy packs. Energy can't be bought separately or saved up.
• No paid characters or worlds. Nothing in the game is locked behind a purchase.
• No account. No email or password, so nothing to sign up for before you play.

Billing and cancelling

Circle+ is an auto-renewing subscription billed by Apple. There's no free trial: you pay when you confirm. You can switch plans or cancel anytime in your App Store settings (Settings, your name, Subscriptions); Circle+ stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Your subscription belongs to your App Store account, so "Restore" on the Circle+ screen brings it back on a new phone. Circle is coming to Android. The Google Play plans will be the same three, at the same prices as the App Store.
